Hi Rob, I posted pics of the guns and crews a few years ago, I now feel like I need to re-base them to match the towing teams. When I used to work for a living this is what we called an emergent strategy. Will edit my post to show the business end!
Thanks Aly, I'm hoping to get a couple more British teams finished soon, but a bit short of driver figures. I've got some dubious home cast Light Dragoons in Tarletons which I might be able to convert. Watch this space.
I'm fairly sure that early 19th C recruiting policy wasn't as inclusive as today. But having read Terry Pratchett's "Monstrous Regiment" I could be wrong.
An impressive collection, I'm sure they find it easier to whip up a gallop when they're not pulling any guns, but come on, where's the rest? ;o)

DeleteThanks for the gun line photos - but what do you mean by re-basing to match? They look pretty similar to me.
DeleteFine looking limbers and guns…
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly

Delete"Drag Racing", perhaps? and.....they're off! Your guns and teams are ansolutely terrific.
ReplyDeleteDrag racing? I'm sure these guys were secure in their masculinity wearing these FABULOUS costumes.
DeleteGuys? Take a closer look next time you see the King's troop out on duty.
